Political Signs

I believe we are all well aware of the devisive nature of present day American politics. We see it every day on TV, hear it on the radio, and are subjected to good old fashioned print signs everywhere we go. I am both proud and grateful that Americans have always been able to state their opinions regarding issues that affect all of our lives. It has become acceptable to state negative "opinions" about one candidate or another with little or no regard for the facts. This is the price we pay for freedom of speech in America and for the most part,is worth it. What I find most troubling is the most recently seen signs suggesting this election is about "America vs. Obama". How can we ever hope to grow as a nation if one side suggests all those favoring one candidate over the other are now somehow unAmerican,or worse yet...actually against the country in some way? I've yet to see anything close to this repulsive statement come from the other side. I find it both disturbing,and incredibly offensive. Perhaps we need to remind ourselves, we are all Americans participating in the process and focus on the issues at hand rather than the hatred and fear of the people we live down the street from just because they see things differently. I really hope we can move forward after this election but remain very cynical about the direction our political climate has taken.

Yet to see anything close to that repulsive from the other side? Really? You must live in a cave without cable, interent or newspapers. I don't condone the sign you are talking about by any means, but to say the other side has not engaged in similiar play is just ridiculous. The Obama campaign has been the most dividing of all time. Class warfare, fake war on women, attacking success, etc, etc. Again, I agree the sign you mentioned was inappropriate, but don't try to say it is only one sided, because that couldn't be further from the truth...
