In 1960 my 6 month old brother died of pneumonia and was buried by my parents in the Mt. Olivet Cemetary "Garden of the Angels" (a garden specifically for children)The garden has been falling into disrepair for several years. The surrounding barberry bushes (planted in the shape of a heart) are dying off and not being replaced. The pathway is heaving, cracking blacktop. The small area surrounding the garden statue is sunken dirt, and never planted with flowers. All the new sections of the cemetary look beautiful with their beautiful hedges, brick walkways and stone walls, yet the Garden of Angels looks horrible. How disrespectful to my brother and my parents who placed his remains there because it gave them a sense of peace to have him in a beautiful garden surrounded by other children. I have been contacting the cemetary for 3 years, yet see no results in repairing the garden. I am so disheartened by this lack of respect and angry at the cemetary staff for ignoring an obvious problem.
