SOUTH BUFFALO - Do you have an unused refrigerator sitting in your basement? How about an empty dresser that could use a good home or a couch that was replaced but still has a few good football game gatherings left in it? Well, stop by Restore Store South at 1675 South Park Ave. on Wed. Nov. 7 from 5-7 pm to donate your gently used items during ReStore’s first Cash Mob event.
Sponsored by CREW [Concerned Residents Engaged in Work] Nov. 7 was selected as the day for the ReStore Cash Mob. For those unfamiliar, the purpose of a cash mob is to bring an influx of business flow to a particularly deserving business in an effort to boost the economy in an area. The inflow of cash not only helps the business slated for the cash mob, but the area’s business community overall.
In this particular case the benefits are even more than business beneficial, they will also help residents in the area. With the added donations that are expected to be made during the cash mob local residents will have more items to choose from the next time they are browsing in the ReStore Store.
ReStore South, located at 1675 South Park, is one of two ReStore locations in the area that sells new and gently used household items, allowing the items to be recycled into the community. A product of Habitat for Humanity the ReStore items donated are tax deductible and a green-friendly alternative for your gently used household furnishings.
Nothing to donate? You can still stop by to browse and pick up a thing of two. There are tables just the perfect size for that corner in the home office and hanging lights that would look great over the poker table you are planning for the finished garage. Whatever your home improvement needs, chances are you can find something at ReStore South to fit the bill, and at a fraction of the price of what you would pay in a regular retail store.
This is the second CREW sponsored Cash Mob in the area and it’s expected to be a great success. CREW is known for their community awareness and positive spurring of activities and improvements in our neighborhoods.
