HAMBURG - The first day of the 2013-2014 school year was extra special for Immaculata Academy faculty, staff, students, and friends as they kicked-off the Academy’s 85th anniversary school year with Bishop Malone. A mass celebrated by Bishop Malone along with Campus Minister, Deacon Robb Ciezki and visiting deacon, Deacon Dennis Conroy, was held in the school auditorium followed by a reception and campus tour. Fr. Ryszard served as the Master of Ceremonies.
“We are grateful to Bishop Malone for joining us as we celebrate Immaculata Academy’s 85th anniversary. The Board of Trustees, administration, faculty and staff, are proud to have offered a Franciscan, Catholic education to thousands of young women over these 85 years and are excited to carry on Immaculata’s mission into the future,” Sr. Paulette Tirone, FSSJ and President of Immaculata Academy expressed.
Immaculata plans to continue celebrating its 85th anniversary at its next big event, the Mater Christi Gala, at 6 p.m. Oct. 17 Michael’s Banquet Facility, as well as other events throughout the year. Information regarding upcoming events can be found at ImmaculataAcademy.com.
