Enjoying the delectable taste of wine no longer means having to sip it from a wine glass. Now, adults can enjoy wine ice cream and slushies thanks to the new adult food truck Wine Not?

Brothers Tyler and Chris Lorich will operate the Buffalo-based Wine Not? truck while their friends Peter Causyn and Jessica Fredericks operate a truck in nearby Rochester.

“Peter approached me and my brother with this idea he had for a couple years,” Tyler said. “We blew him off for the first three to four months. Then we tried the ice cream. It’s too good to not have people try, something everyone should try once.”

The planning began shortly after, including what flavors they would sell on their trucks. The menu currently includes chocolate cabernet, peach zinfandel, black cherry merlot, raspberry chardonnay and Kahlua espresso. They are also offering chardonnay ice, which resembles the flavor of lemon ice, is vegan and is gluten free, fat free and dairy free.

“We have our own line of ice cream being created here,” Tyler said. “It will be made fresh for every event we go to.”

The alcohol in each serving will range between 4 and 5 percent. The pricing is currently up in the air but will be between $5-6 per serving.

Wine Not? will officially launch at the World’s Biggest Food Truck Rodeo taking place on March 29 and 30 in Tampa, Fla. Both of the Wine Not? food trucks will be in the sunshine state helping the rodeo break record for the biggest food truck rodeo in the world for the Guinness Book of World Records.

“Our goal is to have Wine Not? trucks across the country,” Tyler said about the plans he and his co-workers have for the truck. For now, they will be making stops all across Western New York. To know where Wine Not? will be traveling to, visit “WineNotWNY” on Facebook and Twitter.

Besides the two trucks, there is also a Wine Not? wedding/catering cart available for any indoor event at any time of the year, such as weddings, bachelorette parties and corporate events.

“Everyone is trying to book us,” Tyler said. “This is what Buffalo was missing and we have had an overwhelming amount of support. It has been great.”

The support is also coming from fellow food trucks. “They’re the food and we’re the dessert and drink,” Tyler said. “We’re looking forward to putting smiles on people’s faces.”
